Students enrolled at specific Pennsylvania high schools serving low-income areas or those enrolled in the federal free lunch program, regardless of high school, can earn micro-scholarships toward their Penn State education by meeting goals that will lay a strong foundation for their future studies.
PaSSS provides an on-ramp to college for students at Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses. In the summer before their first semester students learn about Penn State resources, establish connections, and earn credits that can help them graduate on time.
For entering students in Penn State World Campus, Smart Track to Success offers scholarships, mentoring, instruction on academic and life skills, and assistance in becoming engaged members of the Penn State community.
The Student Transitional Experiences Program (STEP) supports students who are making the junior-year transition from a Commonwealth Campus to the University Park campus.
Complete Penn State provides Penn State seniors across all campuses with academic and financial support in their final one or two semesters. The program’s goal is to help students overcome obstacles and complete their degrees.
The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center Mentoring Program pairs undergraduates seeking support in financial literacy and life skills with experienced mentors who are affiliated with the University as alumni, faculty, or staff.
More than 73 percent of all Penn State undergraduates receive some type of financial assistance.
